Directions

All visitors to Matakauri Lodge will first approach Queenstown via Frankton Road. At the second round about -rotary- turn left onto Shotover Street, and continue onto Lake Esplanade then follow the signage heading north towards Glenorchy. Follow that road along the lakes edge -keeping the lake on your left- for 4.5 miles. Look for the sign Welcome to Closeburn - we are 150 metres beyond this sign. Look on the left hand side of the road for a side road sign-posted in yellow Matakauri Lodge. Follow the signage to lodge and reception.

Travel north down Glenorchy Road for 4.5 miles and turn left onto Farrycroft Road.

Located 10 minutes north of Queenstown in 10 acres of natural bush land. The lodge enjoys undisturbed views of the mountain ragne and is situated on Lake Wakatipu with a short stroll to the lakes edge.

Cancellation Policy

Through the Internet Site where your reservation was made, cancellation within 30 days results in a 25% cancellation fee.**Reservations made 24DEC-26DEC and 30DEC-02JAN require depsit at least 60 days prior to arrival.
